JEFFREY P. HESS
President, Ball Watch USA
Jeffrey P. Hess is the president and owner of Ball
Watch USA and Hess Watch Company. He also owns an art gallery and a luxury
jewelry store, both located in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Mr. Hess is co-author with James M. Dowling of The
Best of Time: Rolex Wristwatches (Schiffer, 1996), widely considered to be
the “Rolex Bible,” now going into its fourth printing. He is currently
working on a book on Hamilton watches and another on Ball watches.
In his
spare time Jeffrey writes articles about watches that have appeared in HR Watches
Magazine and International Watch Magazine as well as NAWCC
publications. His research has been used or published in books by watch experts
Roy Ehrhardt, Edward Faber and Tom Engle, and he has designed watches for
several watch companies. He also teaches an arts and antiques course at St.
Petersburg College, in Florida.
Professional memberships
include the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC), the
American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute (AWCI), and the International Watch & Jewelry Guild (IWJG).
