| The Ball
Watch Company in cooperation with the Baltimore
& Ohio Railroad Museum in Baltimore, MD, has produced the First
Mile timepiece in commemoration of the first mile of commercial
railroad track in the US, which was laid in Baltimore in 1831 by the
B&O Railroad Company (est. 1827). We celebrate the return of
America's iconic railroad watch to the Home of American Railroading.

The First Mile is a limited-production, limited-distribution watch sold
only in the US market. 200 pieces have been produced for the US market
only.

The Ball Watch company was established in 1891 in Cleveland, Ohio, by
Webb C. Ball. The original Ball pocket watches became the Railroad
Standard. Now made in Switzerland, the Ball Watch is famous for its
"accuracy under adverse conditions." |
